Three laws exist on Rebel DAO, each one with a very important purpose that controls different aspects of the ecosystem.

Farm and Factory Production Rate

The Farm and Factory pools will each produce the matching amount of $REBEL every cycle.

These production amounts must be voted in by law.

There are three options for production (minting) rates:

  • 100,000 $REBEL/cycle
  • 300,000 $REBEL/cycle
  • 500,000 $REBEL/cycle

A higher production rate means more $REBEL minted into existence. Other laws decide what happens with the newly minted $REBEL. More $REBEL produced does not always mean more $REBEL for the stakers of the pool. Other factors, such as the tax rate, must be taken into account as well.

Production Tax Rate

This is the effective tax rate applied to the production of the Farm and Factory.

Three tax rates are available to choose from:

  • 10% Tax Rate
  • 30% Tax Rate
  • 50% Tax Rate

These taxes are only collected when a staker in either the Factory or the Farm withdraws their earnings from the pool. Collected taxes go directly into the 'Tax Pool', to be used according to the 'Tax Proceed' laws.

Tax Proceed Use

This law governs how the taxes collected for the 'Tax Pool' are used.

Three options exist:

  • Burn All Tax Pool Proceeds
  • Burn 50%, Distribute 50% to Citizens
  • Distribute All Taxes to Citizens

The tax pool contains taxes collected from the Farm and Factory's production.

If the 'burn all' law is implemented, it will result in all of the collected taxes getting burned decreasing the REBEL supply. This will help to limit inflation or directly cause deflation of the supply of REBEL.

If the '50/50' law is chosen, then half of the taxes collected will be burned and half will be distributed to the stakers in the 'Citizen's Pool'.

If the 'distribute all' law is in effect, then all collected taxes will be distributed to the 'Citizen's pool' stakers.
